Founder & CEO
I'm April, owner of Sykes Sipsation. Bringing joy to others is my passion, and hospitality is the way I do it. I am a professional mixologist. I've worked as a bartender for 34 years across industries, including corporate chains, family-owned diners, and private event catering. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I was temporarily furloughed from my corporate job, and fate pushed me to pursue my dream of opening Sykes Sipsation.
My husband and I were born and raised in Plant City, FL (the winter strawberry capital of the world). We routinely hosted parties at our home that would bring together over 100 people from different parts of the city on any given weekend. Together we raised six successful children—our six-pack. Sadly, my husband passed away in 2023. Sykes Sipsation is a tribute to the joy and hospitality we centered in our family, and I would be honored to bring that loving energy and experience to your next event!
